Les Romains poss\u00e9daient un des meilleurs r\u00e9seaux routiers de l\u2019\u00e9poque\u00a0! D\u00e8s qu\u2019ils colonisaient une nouvelle r\u00e9gion, ils construisaient directement des routes. Celles-ci \u00e9taient g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement construites soit en terre battue, soit avec de gros blocs de pierre. Ils utilisaient parfois des charrettes ou des chevaux pour les parcourir. Presque comme aujourd\u2019hui, ils pouvaient voyager rapidement d\u2019une r\u00e9gion \u00e0 l\u2019autre et profiter d\u2019acheter des produits et des sp\u00e9cialit\u00e9s provenant de provinces tr\u00e8s \u00e9loign\u00e9es. C\u2019est pourquoi le Plateau suisse avait un si bon r\u00e9seau de routes commerciales.<\/p>\n

En plus des routes, des ports \u00e9taient am\u00e9nag\u00e9s. Les Helv\u00e8tes pouvaient voyager en bateau sur le lac L\u00e9man, le lac de Neuch\u00e2tel, de Bienne et de Morat ainsi que sur les rivi\u00e8res. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 tous ces moyens, ils arrivaient \u00e0 voyager entre l\u2019Italie et la Gaule et pouvaient m\u00eame naviguer jusqu\u2019\u00e0 la mer du Nord.<\/p>\n
