En Gr\u00e8ce, \u00c9sope (VI<sup>e<\/sup> si\u00e8cle avant J.-C.), et \u00e0 Rome, Ph\u00e8dre (d\u00e9but du I<sup>er<\/sup> si\u00e8cle apr\u00e8s J.-C.), donnent d\u00e9j\u00e0 la parole aux animaux. Ces fables ont constitu\u00e9 une source d\u2019inspiration pour les fabulistes ult\u00e9rieurs.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1247\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1247\" style=\"width: 1500px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1247 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.archeolab.app\/archeonimaux\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2018\/01\/fig.11.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1500\" height=\"600\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1247\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">\u00c9sope en discussion avec un renard. M\u00e9daillon de coupe attique \u00e0 figures rouges, vers 470 avant J.-C., Vatican, Mus\u00e9e Gr\u00e9gorien.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Les fables sont aussi un genre litt\u00e9raire bien connu dans d\u2019autres cultures, comme dans le <em>Panchatantra, <\/em>recueil de fables du monde indien (dont certaines fables remonteraient au VI<sup>e<\/sup> si\u00e8cle avant J.-C.) et le <em>Livre de Kalila et Dimna<\/em>, traduction en arabe du <em>Pachatantra<\/em> par Ibn-al-Muqaffa, au VIII<sup>e<\/sup> si\u00e8cle apr\u00e8s J.-C..
